Here's the photo I mentioned last time...

Yes, there it is, finally...sorry about the delay.  This was signed by you and the FTLOSM band the first night in Milwaukee, when Rome told me that you were meeting with some people from Sony and couldn't come out to greet people.  I don't know if he fibbed or what, but when he came back and gave me this photo, I very nearly passed out.  (I know for sure that I hyperventilated, and felt light-headed)!  I was absolutely giddy!

Just the thought that you wrote my name and signed it with the word "Love," really knocked me out!  Thinking of you, sitting in a room with a bunch of business suits, wiping the sweat off your brow after your performance, and being interrupted by Rome asking for an autograph for some silly chick named Becky out in the audience who had hoped to meet you in person that night....and the fact that you actually AGREED to do it---and DID IT----just that simple stupid thing, in the middle of some important guys in suits talking at you....holy CRAP man, do you even REALIZE how awesome that made me feel?!!  Well, you can see that my imagination just ran wild about the whole thing, and still does to this day.  I can't help it. You are an amazing person, and for you to do that for ME...well....WOW, y'know?

When the other guys came out to greet people, I asked them to sign it as well, so I have Moyes and Lincoln and Paul on it, but Todd was too busy gabbing with some groupie-chicks!

In the corner, I added the VIP pass, which I bought at a local record store, (so unfortunately it wasn't one that I actually USED myself).  I just thought it would be nice to have, since the Raised on Radio tour was the very first time I ever saw Journey...it was on October 8, 1986, in Detroit, at the Joe Lewis Arena. That was the very first concert I have ever attended in my entire life.  To me, it was HUGE. I was in line standing outside the doors at 4:30...waiting until 7:30 when the doors actually OPENED, but I had my ears pressed to that door, listening to you guys rehearse, and I was totally ecstatic!

The two wavy-bent records above the photo, I actually bought at the Spring Festival in Ocean City Maryland a few years ago.  I just thought they were unique, and kinda funky, so what the hell.  I sure didn't want to bend my actual albums myself like that!  Another year at the Ocean City Festival, I found 2 Journey purses, made out of record album covers!  So, I do have some rather unique items that the fan club probably never sold in the history of Journey, and it makes me smile with pride to say that.

Anyway, so that photo is on my wall, every day, and I see your face---and that awesome HAIR---and I smile to myself in happy memories of the day that I almost met you...and of course, of the two times AFTER that point, that I actually DID meet you in person.  Happy happy times....

Well, goodnight for now, but I just wanted to add that photo before I went to bed.  It's one I love very much. Thank you, Stephen, for that very simple thing you did, which you probably don't even remember doing!!

Love, Rebecca
