You probably know this already, but...

I just read on Facebook that Journey's new album "Eclipse" has been nominated for "Album of the Year" in Classic Rock Magazine...and they will be performing on Friday morning, on the TODAY show.  (I did NOT get chosen to receive tickets to go see them, which is fine, because I'll be at the Mayhem Festival all day anyway).  I will ask Pete to record it for me on our DVR tonight though.

I don't know if this news makes you feel happy, sad, or bittersweet (both).  However, I do know how I feel whenever I read something new happening at the Museum in DC...I feel happy that they are doing so many great things, but I'm sad at the same time because I am no longer a part of it.  So if that is anything even remotely close to how YOU feel about this info, then I feel your pain my friend.  I really do.  It's the pain of having the one thing you love most in life, used against you.  It is evil and wicked.

But, for the legacy of the rock group you helped to create, it's great news, and I hope you are thankful that it's still going, and will continue to go long after every member of Journey is dead and gone. You are actually quite IMMORTAL, Mr. Perry.  You and the boys who were once your "brothers" will always live long after your deaths, in the music.  If that ain't "immortal," I don't know what is.

Here's a thought....maybe you should name your new album that...."IMMORTAL"  it's kind of a smack back at 'em with all their album titles since Trial By Fire, don't you think?  "Here's a REVELATION, that will affect many future GENERATIONS....you boys of Journey just might be ECLIPSED by my new album, which I am thrilled to annouce, is IMMORTAL."  yeah...I like that.....hmmmmm.....*wink*
