Here's what I woke up to this morning....
That's the view from our bedroom window, overlooking the yard and garage/driveway areas. You can't even tell that those are CARS sitting there, and BUSHES even...it's all one big BLOB of snow. We got dumped on last night, big time.
When I find that damned RODENT groundhog, I'm gonna smack him silly. He PROMISED that spring was coming soon, and last week it was 60 degrees!! Now suddenly we're in the frozen tundra again!! The little bastard LIED!! And what's up with all the weather forecasters, saying "Oh we'll only get 3-5 inches of snow at the most..." because honey, this is over ONE FOOT OF SNOW out there. They lied too!!
I mean, if you can't tell that from the top photo, just look at THIS one, of our deck and patio furniture!! Yeah, you could say we got dumped on. And nobody here knows how the hell to drive in it either. The mom's and I went to JoAnn Fabrics (my mom is a yarn-aholic), and the blizzard began suddenly. By the time we spent 30 minutes in the store, our car was completely buried in the parking lot. So I tried to hurry home, (we've got snow tires on and I know how to drive in it), but everybody ELSE was crawling at 15 miles an hour like a bunch of idiots, tapping their brakes every 10 seconds. GRRRRR.
But as you can see, the sky is blue, no clouds anywhere, and this white stuff is already starting to melt. (Goody, now our basement will flood). SIGH. I have had ENOUGH of winter, let's get this crap outta here and get on with SPRINGTIME dammit!! It's like Michigan decided to take a vacation and ended up in our front yard. BLEAH.
Well, so we can't get out of the driveway---hell, I couldn't even get the Mercedes UP the driveway (it's on a hill), until they cleared it and put down some salt. What a pain in the patoot.
Pete is taking me away this weekend to DC, to attend the rope event with Lew Rubins. Should be fun! I love feeling a "hug" all over me, with rope wrapped around me everywhere, and having little vibrating bullets placed under the rope in very strategic spots....mmmm....god bless rope.
Well, that's the news for now. Oh, I wanted to show you the thing Pete bought for me on our honeymoon in San Francisco last August, from the Antiquities shop on Pier 39.....it's so AWESOME!
So, you're staring at me every day with the other guys, from my living room wall. MMMMMM!!!
Well, bye for now. Have a great day. We're heading outside to shovel the damned driveway. GRRR.
Love, Rebecca
