DAMMIT TO HELL MAN!!!

Hey, YOU, yeah YOU,

YESSSSSS, I'm talkin' to YOU, Mister Stubborn,

I just got a reply from Lora about my last email...and you, Sir, are a poop. *POUT*
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep. This one came through fine with no formatting issues.

Re: Laura's book. We really don't want anything to do with that book and it would be a waste of time (even if you volunteer) to try and update it. Steve has been approached by countless people to do an official bio, but he's just not interested right now. Maybe some day.

Re: Journey-opoly. You would never get licensing on something like that. The whole band (and their manager) would have to agree to it and that is pretty much not going to happen. Cute idea, but not practical considering the way things are.

Re:  Steve's website. Same as official biography. He has had plenty of offers from people who want to build his site (including us) but he's just not interested right now.

Glad you enjoyed the Q&A. I thought he did a great job and it's just sad that some people have to be so negative and judgmental. I finally stopped participating in some of the fan forums because it is just not fun anymore.

Anyway, thanks for all your ideas and input and I wish I had a more interesting response for you, but that's pretty much how it is right now.

Take care,

Lora

And so here's my reply....

----------------------------------------

Hi Lora, Thanks for the message. I'm glad it finally made it to you without any glitches.

Ya know, my friend of 15 years was Miep Gies, and whenever Steven Spielberg approached her to be a part of his Visual Shoah Foundation by giving a testimonial film, (what an awesome opportunity, and who can turn down Spielberg, right?), her response was, "I have spent my entire life giving many interviews to many other people. That should suffice. I no longer have anything new to say about Anne Frank."

She completely DISSED Spielberg, repeatedly!! And ya know, at first I was a bit bummed about it, but the more I thought about it, the more I agreed with her. For Spielberg to want a 90 year old woman to fly to California from Amsterdam for a day or two is a bit much to ask. She just wanted to be left alone, and to live her life in peace. I applauded her decision. (And I almost got fired from the Museum because Spielberg shook my damned HAND, so I'm not really his biggest fan anyway).

So, I totally get it about Steve's decision to just chill, and not feel like doing a web site---it really would be like opening a Pandora's box, in some ways, but then again, it could also be a great distraction for fans to freak on so that people finally leave HIM alone. Hard to say, it could go either way.

As for the book, yeah, I guess that would be another fiasco of freakishness. (Can you tell I am bored)?  So, while I do think it's a shame that he doesn't want to do those things, I guess I understand, and I do feel the same respect for his decision as I did for Miep's.

BUT---WAIT A MINUTE!! Ok then, how about a STEVEPERRYOPOLY?!! To hell with the manager and the other guys.  Let them wallow in reactionary BS from years ago, and let HIM get a patent for his OWN game---and dip his financial savvy and smarts into a major money maker for himself, and then he can CHARGE THE OTHER GUYS BIG BUCKS for sharing the patent when THEY FOLLOW HIS LEAD if they so desire. Once again he can give them the figurative "finger" and do what he wants to. MMMUUUUHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I tend to lean towards being a rabble rouser from time to time. hehehe

Well, that's just my suggestion. Tell him I said, "Stephen, I love you dearly, but ETTA JAMES IS OLDER THAN YOU ARE, AND SHE STILL SINGS....JUST SAYIN'.....hehehehehe (I'm a stinker sometimes, but I only speak the truth).  I love Etta James, and if she can do it, and Tony Bennett can do it, then I say SO CAN HE.

And how about one more suggestion.....tell him to get his sexy butt to the next Super Bowl to sing the National Anthem...now THAT would be worth paying the price of a ticket to see. Some people are complaining about Christina Aguilara's flub, but ya know, I'd like to see THEM stand up alone, acapella, to sing it in front of a bazillion people, and NOT crap their pants. So she flubbed a line, she was full of adrenaline, she was emotional, and she got carried away. I don't fault her for that, because I personally couldn't do even HALF as well singing ANYTHING.

Re: The Message Boards......in a short time, I figured out that those who do nothing but complain or criticize others are merely projecting their own insecurities on other people. They overcompensate in a negative way, to make themselves FEEL more positive about their own lives. Some of us don't need to do that. I try really hard not to complain too much, because I hung out with Holocaust Survivors for so long, and they taught me that even when life is devastating and awful, they knew, (and now I know), that it can ALWAYS be worse. I mean, Christina Aguilara could have sounded like ROSEANNE BARR SUCKING HELIUM BALLOONS for cripes' sake...it can ALWAYS BE WORSE!!

Have a great week...and thanks again. Sorry to keep buggin' ya with my silly emails.

Love, Becky
