Hiya Stevie, you gorgeous hunk of man, how's it hangin'?!
Well, I took some short video clips on my iPhone yesterday, of Pete and I downtown at the Pittsburgh festival for the 4th of July weekend. This one is of an awesome, and huge, sand sculpture. It's pretty amazing! (Actually I just checked this, and the link doesn't work. I published them on Facebook but for some reason Facebook won't allow me to copy my own file. GRRR).
We went out to a nice dinner---an Asian-Italian Fusion restaurant called Tamari, and it was awesome--I had lobster that was deep fried with a very light batter, with bright red fish eggs spread all over it, and sushi California rolls with wasabi...GAWD it was GOOD. Anyway, then we were on our way home when we noticed a bunch of tents and people gathering downtown, so we checked it out.
There were tents that had all kinds of carnival food---caramel apples, snow kones, ice cream, funnel cakes, roasted corn on the cob, grilled chicken breasts or beef on sticks, baklava, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate covered marshmallows, all sorts of goodies, and we walked around just enjoying the gorgeous weather, watching the boats on the river, the geese, the ducks, etc., and hearing Kenny Chesney sing across the way at the Heinz Field. (I'm not a country music fan at ALL, but I know who most of the popular ones are). I do, however, like Faith Hill's voice very much.
