Hi Steve,
Holy CRAP!! Once again I must lament to the gods above, I was born in the wrong
decade. I have never seen Pink Floyd in concert, I missed the whole entire era of
Floydmania, and the closest thing I had ever seen before tonight was a laser light
show back in my college days.
But tonight, Brit Floyd blew me away. I mean, come on, who doesn't love
"Comfortably Numb?" That's my all-time favorite Floyd song, along with
"Learning to Fly." (I like most every song they've done---and on the last CD I
bought, I loved "Dogs of War" and "Momentary Lapse of Reason" too).
In the middle of "Comfortably Numb," as a matter of fact, I was singing along
and lovin' it so much, that suddenly I got choked up, and burst into tears!! You
really have to EXPERIENCE that song, not just listen to it on a CD...it's not the
same thing at all.
Pete took some GREAT video footage of the last song, "Run," that I will add
here for you to see tomorrrow. I took some video footage too, so I'll see what I
can do to get them both on here.
Before I go to bed, I just wanted to show you ANOTHER friend of mine on
Facebook, (that's 2 people in one day), who sent me another message.............
Ah well, goodnight to you....remind me to tell you about the dream I had this
morning. It was very cool. And yes, you were in it.
Love, Rebecca
