Hi Steve,
How's it hangin' babycakes?!
We have a new app on our iPhones now, called "iFunFace." It allows you to take photos of people and make them "talk." I love it. I made this video (above), as a first draft / test video. Turned out ok, for my first attempt, but---I'm not so sure I like that my face is half-hidden behind yours. LOL (I'm so vain)!!! hehehehehe I really don't know why it turned out that way when the photo isn't like that at all. But, I'll keep playing with it, and come up with an even better one soon. Thought you might get a giggle out of it at least. (Yeah, I posted it on my Facebook page too, of course, because I'm a FB addict)! My friend Kim thought it was funny, so I have been validated by my FaceBook peers!!
I'm working on a really cool thing for your birthday. That's all I'm gonna tell ya. :) WINK!!
Click on this link....an awesome version of "Opened The Door." I just feel like hearing it....

Oooh you opened up the door
You made my life once more
YEAH you opened.....
(GREAT GOOGA MOOGA, I LOVE THAT SONG).
Sorry, it's just playing while I'm sitting here writing this. That second verse...yep...that one just made me moist all over when I first heard it. The music of it is so sexy too...just an awesome song all over. Makes me have warm fuzzies now. Moist warm fuzzies!!!!
Ya know another song that I totally ADORE, is this one....by Etta James...."Loving Arms."
http://youtu.be/XorVjAXY6N4
And then there's this one, which I love too.....again by Etta James....(MAN I MISS HER)...."I've been lovin' you too long."

She's my alter-ego you know. I absolutely cherish that woman.
Well anyway, I don't have much to write today.
At the moment, I am trying to deal with my blood sugar situation. Being diabetic sucks. I had my blood drawn today, and they called me a few hours later to say they got the results, with a score of 243 of my glucose level. It's supposed to be 100 or less. I sat there for a few minutes, going, "wow...no way...really? That can't be..." So I called them back after a few minutes, asking if that was supposed to be a FASTING blood test. The paperwork they gave me said NON-FASTING, so I had eaten breakfast first. (Kix cereal, peanut butter toast, and jasmine tea). Typically, if my fasting sugar is 100, and then after I eat, the number increases 100 or more as a "spike" and then it goes back down an hour or so later.
So, 243 sounds right for having just had breakfast, but it is NOT accurate for the FASTING number. And THAT is what they base the insulin stuff on. If my A1C is not better, the doctor may still want me to do the insulin thing, but I will adamantly refuse. No F----ing way. I am sick and damned tired of being sick and tired, y'know? And all those doctors ever want to do is give you MORE medication, while ignoring how to SOLVE the problem---job security you know. It angers me. I really loathe doctors.
This 243, in case you don't know, IF it had been accurate, would be a life changing number---but luckily it is an INACCURATE NUMBER--because it means I would have to go on INSULIN. That means giving myself SHOTS every day for the rest of my life. And, I absolutely REFUSE to do that. So, after I called to say something ain't right, they realized that they goofed, and I was NOT happy. They told me to come back to the doctor's office to pick up new orders for a FASTING blood test, with an A1C average of the past 3 months of blood sugar levels, which I will have done tomorrow morning. What a pain in the ass.
So then I go to pick up my refilled prescriptions at the pharmacy, and I am dubiously informed that the FREE diabetic medications will not be FREE much longer. Nice. I said, "Well, there are 3.9 million diabetics in this country alone, so I can tell you that you'll be losing a LOT of customers. The free diabetes meds were the only reason I come here." I'm highly annoyed by this shit. I mean, this world is just hemorrhaging through the slapped-on, short-sighted bandaids everybody tries to implement, and nobody seems to give a shit. It makes me wanna scream. Lazy people who don't do their jobs right, you gotta watch them every second, or they will fuck up your entire life if you don't. GRRRRRR.
Here's one that pretty much says it all.....it's from a Lana Turner movie, "Imitation of Life." (One of my all-time favorites), and it's by Mahalia Jackson...."Trouble in this World." Absolutely heartbreaking.

And so I guess I will end this post by adding another favorite that YOU sing, my Stephen.....
"Sweet and Simple"
http://youtu.be/JzU_XKRcnt4
--------------------------------------
Try and keep it simple
Not too far away
Movin' slow
So simple....
Never felt this way...
Movin' sweet, so simple
Takin' time to say....
The way, to being to being simple
Never felt this way....
ETC......(The lyrics are in the you tube video)....

Another AWESOME song. I love it. Those are 2 of my all-time favorites that you sing, right at the top of the list. Just pure, and perfect, and amazing. God I love you Stephen. You kill me. The control you have in your voice during that incredible glissando towards the end is just brilliant. Sweet as sugar. And it's what I like to do.
Well, I'm off to the wild blue yonder. Not much going on today. Hope your Monday is going well.
............................Steve, will I ever get the chance to meet you again in my lifetime?
(Here's the answer I tell myself.....)
"Someday Soon" (BIG GRIN)!!

Love always,
Rebecca
