Another weekend of snow....bleahhhhh....

It is FREEZING COLD around here, the high temperature for the day today was 17.  BRRRRRR!!  I know it's only February 1, but COME ON already, what happened to the "global warming" thing?!

The other night, at ohhhh about 3 a.m. or so, we heard this sudden banging, repeatedly, with a very high wind, and we could NOT figure out what that noise was.  Finally I looked out of our bedroom window, and I saw a part of our HOUSE flapping in the breeze!!  A piece of the siding on the edge of the slanted roof had been blown off, and it was mangled and hitting the side of the house.  I'm sure everybody in the neighborhood could hear it too.  (Our neighbor across the street said she could).

But, it was a BLIZZARD, and it was 3:00 in the morning, so what the heck can ya do about it?!  Not much.  So Pete had to go sleep downstairs in a chair, and I put in some ear plugs and just kept snoozing as best as I could.  The damned piece of metal siding couldn't have just blown OFF at 3 a.m., OH NOOOO, it waited until 9 a.m., when we were awake and zombie-like from lack of sleep.  GRRRR.  Pete called a repairman, and it was fixed in one hour, but then later on, the damned thing blew off AGAIN, so I called the dude back and he came over AGAIN and re-nailed it.  So far, it's stayed since then.

Needless to say, I am ready for SPRING.  This winter stuff can just GTFO of here.

Anyway, it's SUPER BOWL WEEKEND BABYYYYYY!!!! WOOOO!!!!   I'll bet I know what YOU'LL be doing on Sunday!!  Are ya gonna GO to the game, are ya huh? are ya huh? are ya huh?! Well, if you do, I hope none of the crazy women on Facebook find out about it, they will show up and harass the hell outta you...especially if you get your PICTURE taken with people, while in the exact SECTION of where you were SITTING at the time.  (You did that last time you know).  SECTION 217, I think it was.  Or 271?  I don't remember, but wow, those chickies were going batshit crazy over that for WEEKS afterward.  So, wear some sunglasses or put on a fake beard or something.

It must totally SUCK to have to do things like that though.  I know you probably won't, but I cannot even imagine what it must be like to be a celebrity like that, with people following you around all the time with cameras and stuff, bugging you for autographs and having pictures taken with them, etc.  I would think that crap would get real old, real fast.  I really don't know how you did it for so many years, without going nuts.

I mean, I worked for six years in a Museum that had 5,000 visitors every day, in DC.....that's 5,000 people BREATHING on me, asking me stupid ass questions all day long----the #1 asked question at the Holocaust Museum was NOT about anything Holocaust related, however.  Oh no, it was "where is the bathroom?"  I kid you not.  I had to answer that damned question a million times a day, and every time, with a smile on my face as if that was the FIRST time I had ever been asked that question.  I finally got to the point where I would flippantly answer, "We don't have any, sorry. You will have to go next door to the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, where they make all the money."

I just got sick of hearing it.  So, I became a total sarcastic smart ass.  That's just how I roll.

Well, I hope the 49ers kick Baltimore's BOOTY this weekend......though it is rather difficult for ME to watch the game....who do I root for?!  My friend since the age of 9 lives in Baltimore, so I root for the Ravens to win for HER sake....but then there's YOU....and I know how much you love those 49ers.  I guess I'm torn.  But, either way, it's NOT the STEELERS this year, dammit to hell and back.  But ya know what?  Even though our Steelers aren't in it this year, there are STILL businesses all around here that are CLOSING EARLY FOR THE SUPER BOWL game!!  I am not kidding!!!  Buncha weirdos.

Well, I had a fun time playing on the tie-down table in our living room....Pete used a lot of rope and even has some rope with a wire all through it, so we could play with the violet wand for awhile!! That thing really does make you tingle all over the place, even after it's put away...you still tingle.  COOL.  So now that I'm all worn out from playing for a couple hours, (and after a nice dinner at Red Lobster), I'm ready to crash for the night.

I hope you have a great weekend, don't eat too much football food!! (We're having wings babyyyy! So come on over and I'll make you some mozzarella sticks and some bbq chicken wings)!!  MMMM!!!  Yeah yeah yeah, so much for the New Year's diet, right?!!  Sigh.
