Hi Steve,
I hope your week is going along well. Mine has been very busy and I'm probably not going to be able to sit down and write before the weekend. (Sorry about that). It's just too many things to do and not enough time to do it all.
Last weekend, Pete did take me down to DC for the cherry blossoms. Only, the stupid things weren't in blossom yet!! This cold weather has stunted their schedule a bit, I think, so most likely by next week or so, they should be in full bloom. We may go back again on April 20th weekend, hopefully we'll still get to see some of them by then. Pete has never seen them. I used to go every year and walk through them, marveling at the gorgeous pink "snow" falling all around me...it's just ethereal.
Anyway, so now I am back at home, getting ready for THIS coming weekend, when I take my mom up to Michigan for a week and bring my best friend Laurie back with ME for a week. Should be fun, but I'm trying to get the house all cleaned and ready, the laundry all done and put away, and the cooking---I decided to cook a bunch of stuff ahead of time, so I can just toss something into the microwave next week or heat it up in the oven quickly. I've got 2 pans of meatloaf and some chicken soup ready, plus the pork roast and veggie soup we made a few days ago. That should be plenty to get us through.
Well, I'm off....but I do hope the Supreme Court passes the law to allow gay people to marry. My fingers are crossed, everybody should be equal, no matter WHERE they want to put their naughty bits. Doesn't affect anybody else but the two (or three?!) people involved, ya know?! Justice Scalia should be fired, though, what a twit. He actually said (and I paraphrase): "When the farmers wrote the Constitution, there were no gay people here in America. They only started coming here in the 1960's."
The ignorance and TROLL-like assholianish antics of this stupid man is simply astounding. Fire him. I mean, first of all, it was the Founding Fathers who wrote the Constitution. Not farmers. Secondly, there have ALWAYS been gay people here----Native American Indians even had gay people in every tribe before we invaded and committed a genocide on them. Just because HE never knew about any gay people until the 60's, doesn't mean they didn't exist. What a stupid buttheaded moron. I loathe him.
Well, anyway, I'll go for now but I do hope you're well, and that your week is a good one, and that your new album will soon be ready for me to enjoy...you should entitle it, "Aspirations," or "Rising Above"----or how about, "Ascendence." Yeah, I like that one best. A symbolic jab at the boys of Journey, and how you've risen above the petty squabbling and the BS to do your own thing.
Bye for now my friend.
Love you lots...xoxo Try not to miss me too much!!! SMOOCH!!!

Ever wanted to talk to your favorite famous person, even if he or she is unavailable/unapproachable in real life, or dead and gone, or just not even possible to have a real conversation with? Who doesn't?! Well, so do I. So, I am going to chit-chat with the Main Man, my favorite singer in the entire world, Steve Perry, on this blog, just for the hell of it!! I'm a writer after all, so that's the kind of thing I like doing. Keeps me outta jail. *WINK*
Mmmm sexy...

The man is a gorgeous sexy BEAST!! I just want to eat him up!!
