Hiya Stevie baby, how's it hangin'?!
Last week, Pete managed to score some Eagles concert tickets off Ebay for cheap...they were charging an arm and a leg, which is ridiculous, so I told him forget about it, but then he found 'em cheap as the day went on, and so we ended up going. He got 3rd row seats from the stage!! It was AWESOME!! here's a photo of Joe Walsh...that boy has had some hard livin'....you can see it in his face....but he still rocks!
Yeah, the photos aren't the best, but I took them of the big screens rather than focusing on the stage, the lights sometimes make it too bright. But, I figure you could probably just pick up the phone and call these guys anytime you want, and I'm sure at some point in your life you've probably crossed paths with them, so you most likely know them personally anyway.
Gotta toss in a photo of Glen Frey too....ya know, his head looks too big for his body....weird, huh?! He just doesn't have very broad shoulders, and wearing black and white large checks on his shirt didn't help. But, he was pretty cool, and made lots of jokes, like this one....he introduced the song as "Our wives call this the credit card song..." (Take It To the Limit). And then he said, "This one reminds me of my first wife...named PLAINTIFF..." and stuff like that. He's pretty funny.
Well, then last night, Pete took me to see Ian Anderson. I never really paid a lot of attention to Jethro Tull when I was younger, EXCEPT that I was admiring the fact that a man was playing a flute in a rock and roll band, and I was playing the flute in my elementary school at age 10...(still do)....so I was thinking back then, "If he can be a rock and roll star with a flute, so can I." HA!! Little did I know, he was absolutely friggin' AMAZING, and though I didn't really "get" the type of music he was playing, now that I've seen him play in person, and have a better appreciation for it, I really was blown away.
There he is, with his band. He's on the left, the bright white spot near the furthest left guitar player. I also took a brief video clip, BUT, I got caught by one of the theater staff people who yelled at me!! So it's only a 15 second clip, but you can tell which song he's about to perform, and the crowd went wild.

Anyway, so those are some concerts we have recently attended. Thought you might like to share 'em.
So tonight Pete and I are going to see one of my favorite comedians....Dane Cook....he is a RIOT. I love him, and Lisa Lampanelli....the two of them are my favorites really. But I used to love George Carlin and lots of others when I was growing up. Phyllis Diller was a hoot, and Don Rickles. I loved LOVED LOVED Paul Lynde too, when he was on the game show "Hollywood Squares." He cracked me up!!
Anyway, then this coming weekend, we are going to the Washington DC Rally To Restore Sanity. I'm a little worried though, because Pete has decided we're going to DRIVE there, and lemme tell ya, if you think traffic in LA sucks shit through a straw, you've never driven in DC before. It is RAW and EVIL. So I don't know where the hell he expects to park the damned car, but okay fine, there's no way I can talk him out of it. SIGH. He's a stubborn cuss sometimes. But then again, so am I!!
Well, that's the news from my neck of the woods. I'm still sick, but I did go see the doctor yesterday and got some antibiotics to kick this sinus infection right in the butt, so hopefully soon it'll be gone. I think I got sick from going to see the damned Eagles concert!! Too many people breathing on me. Usually I get dumped on with somebody's beer. I really hate it when concerts allow people to bring beer down to their seats, because I usually end up wearing it home. GRRR. Besides, how can you really appreciate the music if you're too bombed to really hear it and get the whole experience clearly??
Ahhhh....I wanted you to know that I am thinking about you, and I wish you a glorious and happy day, and I hope you have a very fun Halloween. You probably don't dress up in costume anymore, but I still like to do that each year---Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. So, this year, I decided to make my own costume---I love doing that, making my own, it's always more fun----and so I'm going to be a life-sized MRS. BEASLEY DOLL. hehehehehe (A chubbier version of course).
I'll add a photo next time. But here's a photo of the doll I am referring to.....I still have mine too....Pete got it for me a couple years ago, for my birthday. I have always loved this damned doll. On the t.v. show "Family Affair," with Buffy and Jodi, (and I met Kathy Garver, who played their older sister Cissy in person at the Comic Convention in SF last April), Buffy had a Mrs. Beasley doll, so I HAD to have one, and I loved to sit her next to me whenever we watched the show. Over the years, she somehow disappeared from my life, and so I told Pete about it one time and he remembered, and got me one!!
She's like this "grandma" doll, and she talks. She says things like, "You're the prettiest little girl I've ever known," and "I'd like to give you a big hug!" and comforting things like that. I think kids today really need a doll like this, so I don't know why they don't still make them. Why should little girls take care of a "baby doll," when they could have a grandma doll take care of THEM?! Kids need that more than ever nowadays, but that's just my opinion.
The weird thing is, if you know what I'm referring to here, I kinda look like a "Little," and that freaks me the hell out!! There are people, grown adult men and women, who enjoy dressing up as a little kid... they wear diapers sometimes, they have outfits and even baby strollers, that are adult sized....stuff like that. They ride tricycles, suck on adult-sized pacifiers, etc., and they are called "Littles." Whenever I go to our favorite BDSM camp each year, there is a whole cabin designated for the Littles, near the playground of course!! They are hilarious to hang out with, though. I loved pushing them around in their stroller, too, that was fun!! They really have a great time, and they make everybody laugh a lot.
So, I never had the intention of looking like a "Little," but okay, so what, it's Halloween. I can get away with it one day out of the year. I wouldn't really dress like that as a "fetish" though. Sometmes there are "Sissy Men," too, and they are a HOOT-N-A-HALF!! Pete said, "wow, you look kinda creepy in that costume, like a Sissy Boy!" I took that as a compliment though, because we know them personally and they really are sweet guys to know. They dress like little girls, and give tea parties at camp each year. They don't wear underwear, so they have their naughty bits hanging freely, with a little bell tied to it, and if I scold them for something they did or did not do, I have to lift their skirt, tinkle their bell, and spank them. (I don't feel very comfortable doing it, but they LOVE IT, so that makes me want to please them). I've only attended one tea party so far, and Pete even put on an apron to help out...wearing nothing else! So he's pretty open-minded too, and we both enjoy going to camp each year because of the diversity of the groups that love to go and commune with each other. It's really a liberating experience.
You might even understand this phrase, which confused the HELL outta ME for many years, until I finally experienced it for myself......"rope can set you free." I'll elaborate more on that next time.
Ahem. Anyway.....whatever floats yer boat. "Any Way You Want It," ya know?! Yeah, you know. *wink.* I KNOW you know. And that's pretty damned cool if you ask me.
Well, bye for now.
Love, Rebecca the weird chick who tickles your fancy as often as possible!!
