The Q&A questions from Fan Asylum....

Hi Stephen,

Okay, so I've read through those Q&A questions Lora sent me, and the two that grabbed me most are:

27) More and more musicians are turning into writers recently, and publishing tales of their immensely interesting lives and careers. I think with all you've experienced in your career, yours would be a pretty interesting and amazing read. Have you ever considered doing an autobiography? – Kim
There are no REAL biographies out there on me or the band ...........I have thought about it but I think that everyone's dirty laundry will always kinda just be that..........Dirty Laundry ...........and that's kinda boring to me.......
I think every Band is a group of people -Management included, label, roadies, etc.- that "Band" together to try and accomplish something together that would otherwise alone..... not be as possible..........Hence the word "BAND"...........So at that level..........they are kinda all the same.
I don't think any band member is free of the neurosis that comes along with the drive to be famous …….. after achieving that fame..............  they discover how fame can do so much for them and to them !!!
If nothing else..........Rock History has shown us............
The very thing that "Bands" them together........ Can be the very thing that once successful?
......... Tears them apart.............

........My response to this one is, I read the biography by Laura Cucu I think it was, and WOW that chick needs some English language classes for grammar and spelling...she needs to hire a better editor too.  So, that being said, did I ever mention to you that I was an ENGLISH MAJOR in college??  Yep.  It's true.  I can write essays off the top of my head, I can dissect Shakespeare and symbolism until the cows come home, and I can even recite in Olde English the first verse of the Canterbury Tales!!  Get in touch with this Cucu chick, (HA!) and tell her I will help her REVISE this book of hers, and maybe you could add a few other interesting tidbits to the book that make it even better.  The best part of my idea:  I will do this for FREE. As a VOLUNTEER. No money, no credit, I don't want my name on it anywhere, nothing. It's a decent enough book, but much of it is "Journey Fan Common Knowledge," so anything you might add personally to it, would be an improvement.  I will edit, proofread, and re-write it if necessary.

You're a very tough guy to buy a gift for, ya know, so this would be one thing I really COULD give you, that you never had and couldn't buy for yourself. Come on Stevie, make a submissive woman (namely ME), HAPPY TO GIVE....and I will. I'll sign any paper you put in front of me, with no questions asked. That's because I love you.

64)  Do you have any plans to launch an official website? I know everyone would be on that site in a heartbeat! - DebsA
I do own one ..........Just haven't built it..........It will come someday..............Just not sure when.

.......Oh Stephen......SERIOUSLY?....How about NOW??? I can do it for you, for free!!  I sent you the link to MY web site, so if you liked anything about it, (which, keep in mind, is still a work in progress), then I could DEFINITELY help you build one.  And I would.  And it would be AWESOME.  As a matter of fact, my hubby, Pete, works at Apple Computers, and can do MIRACULOUS things on the computer....I am sure if I asked him nicely, and promised him nooky, he would definitely help build it!! AAUUGGHHHH YOU HAVE TO SAY YES!!!

GAWD...great googa mooga and HOLY MOSES....I would SO love to be a part of that for you, to give YOU something back for all the awesome music you've given ME over the years.  Seriously, I'm going to ask Lora to ask you about this idea.  It would be a labor of love, and something I'd really truly feel proud of doing for you.  Just say the word and consider it done.

Okay...another thing from this Q&A session....you mentioned some of your most favorite emotion-filled songs are Good Morning Girl, and Sweet & Simple.....I have to say, I absolutely ADORE those songs, because they are just filled with ooey, gooey, warm fuzziness from my head to my toes all tingly and happy every time I hear them.

As a matter of fact, every time Peter and I got on the computer to chat during the day while he was at work, his very first sentence was always "Good Morning Girl..."  And every time he wrote it, I felt a twinge in my naughty place. Mmm hmm, I really did.  I had given him a CD of my favorite tunes, and that one was on it, so he knew that I loved it and he repeated that phrase to me every day of our 2.5 year relationship, every single morning.  It not only gave me a naughty twinge in my happy place, but it also made me smile thinking about YOU too, because you sang it in my ear and whispered it to me as I read those words from him.

The rest of the questions were very interesting, and you answered them quite honestly and openly...as much as you could, without revealing TOO much.  I think you did a great job too.  Lora was right.  But then again, you always did do a great job, being a perfectionist comes in handy that way sometimes!!

I love you so much Stephen, you're the coolest, and silliest poop in the universe, and I absolutely adore you.

Oh, one other thing....someone asked if you were currently in a relationship, and you answered so vaguely that "there IS someone you'd LIKE to be romantically involved with, but it's a secret..." so I'm going to sit here and daydream and pretend that the person you're referring to is ME.  Ahhhh, what happy dreams I'll have tonight!! (And hey, even though I'm married, Pete would share me with you, I have no doubt about that...I even joked to him on my wedding day, "If Steve Perry shows up, I hope you won't be too upset when I leave with him."  He said, "I know, and that's ok with me, just come back when you're done.")

Love, Rebecca
