How's your Monday going so far? It's been a lazy day around here, haleluyah for that. I haven't had a lazy day in MONTHS...in fact, today is the very first day I have actually gone back to bed after breakfast since we moved into this new house! So, it's been a long time for me to just have a day of "chillin'."
On Friday, before this birthday party we had, I finished hanging some of my Journey junk on a wall in our family room...here is how it turned out...pretty cool, huh?! The two warped records on the left I got at Ocean City Maryland's arts and crafts fair. Then there is the autographed framed photo of YOU, that was given to me the first night of your solo tour in 1994...(I also had your band mates sign it that night, as well...Moyes, Lincoln, Todd and Paul)...below that is a frame that says, "A Journey is measured by friends, not by miles." Then, to the right of that, are two purses that I bought at Ocean City MD too, made out of record covers...a 45 of Open Arms, and an album of Frontiers. They are so COOL... and then, Pete bought me the framed and autographed Evolution album on the far right, when we were in San Francisco on our honeymoon last summer. These are the most unique Journey-related items I've got, so I thought grouping them might be a neat idea. I love how it turned out!
Here is a close-up of the two purses....with the handles...(I tucked them inside each purse when I put them on the triangle black shelves above).
But, I am now working on the Journey-opoly game, and I've got some help from Pete and his daughter Sybil and her husband Justin, who gave me a lot of cool ideas, and we did some online research and stuff too, so it's going to really be awesome when it's finished. I just hope you like it. I also hope the boys of the band like it. If they say, "Nah, we won't be doing one of those..." then I'll just smile sweetly and say, "Okay no problem, I'll just send it to Lora Beard and have Steve Perry do his own game then...no worries." (But, unbeknownst to THEM, you and I both know that YOU had the idea from me, first). hehehehe *wink*
Somebody better damned well do a Journey-opoly game, that's all I'm sayin'. It's a cool idea, and you know it!! Plus you'd make a BUTTLOAD of money from it, and I would feel like I've fulfilled my duty and obligation as a die-hard Journey fan once and for all in this lifetime, by being the creator of it. It's really a win-win situation for everybody!!
Well, Pete is taking all of us to a Gateway Clipper boat ride this evening, since his daughter and son-in-law are still here visiting until tomorrow. We haven't been on this cruise thing at all, so it's a first for everybody. His daughter also brought a couple of kids, too, (her niece and nephew), who are 5 and 7....lemme tell ya, they are quite a handful. But, it's been kinda fun hanging out with 'em. We took them to Kennywood amusement park yesterday and spoiled them both rotten. They had a blast!
Pete and I were invited there by the guy who performed our wedding, "Uncle" Ed. Now, Uncle Ed has everybody call him "Uncle," and he is the head of our BDSM family, the Leatherhearts. We are also members of this family, so when he calls and says he'll be going to Kennywood in our neck of the woods, we definitely make sure we can go along. If anybody in the "family" needs anything or has any problems or issues that they need help with, we all try to help each other out. Pete recently donated some money to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and bought a brick, that is placed outside on the sidewalk around the theater, with any name we decide to put on it....so he put "LEATHERHEARTS" on our brick. You can go see it anytime, just like I can go see your Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Funny how we have similar stuff like that...kinda weird, huh?
(Ha! Uncle Ed just sent me a text as I'm sitting here writing about him). I don't know if they have such "families" on the east coast, but here, they are quite a normal thing in the BDSM scene. Lots of them exist, and it is an honor to be asked to join a family, too, which is why we were blown away by his invitation last summer at our wedding. HAHAHAHA!!!! He just texted me again, "thanks love, but one question...are you dry yet?"
Yesterday, he and his partner Stephen (they are married), and Pete and I all rode on a log flume ride, and they talked me into riding in the front (I've never been on this ride before), because they claimed I would get the least amount of water on me......LIARS!!!.....and of course, I got soaked to the bone, while they all laughed their heads off at me for being so gullible. We got to the bottom of the huge hill, and I yelled, "YOU BITCHES!! ALL OF YOU!! YOU LIED TO ME!! I'M GONNA GET YOU ALL FOR THIS!" and they were just hysterical, as were the people all around the ride who witnessed it. hehehehe
So, as we walked away, (when other people were not listening), I said to Ed, "Yeah, Pete likes to keep me wet at all times, you know." hehehehehehehehehe So, that's what his text was referring to. At one point, while we were waiting in line for a ride, he poked Pete and said, "Pass it on," so Pete poked ME, and then I poked Pete's nipple, and said, "Pass it on," so Pete turned and went to poke Ed's nipple, and Ed said, "Oooooh baby..." to which Pete dropped his hand and said, "Oh no, uh-uh, I'm not goin' there!" And Ed said, "Well, I wouldn't go there on HER either! Might poke her ARM but that's as far as a gay man will go!!" hehehehehe He and Stephen are a lot of fun, we love hanging out with them.
We won't be seeing them until next summer at camp, most likely. They live in DC, but Stephen is from Washington PA, so they sometimes come here to visit his family.
.....EGAD.....this 5 year old boy (Dominic) is still bugging me to come play baseball with him outside, now that it has stopped raining. SIGH. He's been bugging me since I sat down to write to you. So much for me taking an afternoon nap. I do enjoy kids though, I just wish they didn't talk so much!! MUTE children are the best, in my opinion. (Hey, I know some sign language, so it's ok).
Well, I hope the Journey-opoly game goes over big, but it probably won't because those guys in the band SEEM TO BE total dweebs who won't know a good thing if it bit 'em in the ass. I could be wrong, but at the same time, and sadly, I don't think I am. (Lora already told me they probably wouldn't do one).
So, if they say "No way," the game idea is officially YOURS...unless you want it FIRST?? Tell ya what, if you DO want the idea, (and haven't stolen it yet from me), then I won't even show it to them at all. Just send me an email and let me know. You've got a little less than 2 weeks to think about it. If I don't hear from ya, then I'll bring it to show them when I meet them backstage with my VIP tickets. HEY!! HOLY CRAP!! You could show up at the concert too, and see the thing at the same time THEY do....OH WOW that would be the most friggin' AWESOME wet dream I could ever have...to see you all together in the same room again...because of ME....and giving me the go-ahead to create this thing for real!! WOO HOO!!! I'd probably be so geeked, I'd drop down on my knees and give you ALL a happy BJ before the show!!
Ohhhh yessssss I would. And you'd be first!!
Ah well, I know you REALLY won't contact me, but if you DO read this, have a friend do it...maybe Lora?! She already has my email address and telephone number if you want it. Either way, it's a labor of love from me to you...just cuz you're my favorite human.
Love, Rebecca
