More vlog ideas for you. JUST DO A VLOG!!! COME ON!!! DO IT!!! (please)?!

Hi Stephen,

Well in the spirit of making a vlog entry for you, (and to keep pestering you to make one of yourself), I thought I'd share one that I made earlier today, with my dog Sassy.  Just for the heck of it.  Humor me, will ya?!

I'm not an expert on creating videos myself, mind you, but you have mentioned on several occasions that YOU would LOVE to create something on film.  Right?!  So, THERE YA GO.  Create a VLOG!!  What have you got to lose?!  NOTHING.  It's even FREE, if you use your own iPhone and home computer. Ya just can't beat that with a stick!  You would also be in charge of the whole thing, you would decide what is said, how it is said, what the background would be, and what important info you want to communicate to all of your fans, and when.

Here's mine, starring my one and only most favorite dog in the world, Sassy....

Just do a vlog already, ya bum.  Seriously.  Don't make me come over there and bite your face off.  It's easy, it's free, it's fun, and it would definitely be a huge hit with all of your fans.  I know that there are many days where you really don't feel like pandering to the masses, but if George Takei can have a Facebook page and write to HIS fans, (he's been around a LOT longer than YOU, Mister), and if I can communicate with celebrities on Twitter every day, whenever I want to, then why the heck wouldn't YOU do a vlog???  Josh Groban does it, and his fans are lovin' it.  He's genuine, he loves his dog Sweeney, and he shares things like having his brother show up and chit-chat with him.  It's very personal, it's cool, and it's fun.  It also makes the person more REAL.  And that is awesome. (By the way, on PBS, he'll soon be singing a duet with Tony Bennett....I LOVE THOSE GUYS)!!

Anyway...I also made a 6 minute video of a walking tour of the main floor of our house.  I'll spare you the agony of watching that one though, it's quite boring.  But, maybe I can put SOME of it here for you....let me try....yeah....my editing technique is rather amateurish at best, but this is my infamous "Journey wall of fame" in our family room....I have so much Journey STUFF that I could add to this wall, but alas, the wall is not big enough.  I need a whole ROOM dammit!! hehehe

The image at the end is the 8x10 black and white photo of YOU the first night of your FTLOSM tour, when I got to meet the rest of the band.  You signed it, "To Becky, Love Steve Perry."  (Your body guard, Rome, gave it to me that night because you were meeting with some people from Sony backstage and couldn't come out for a meet and greet).  The two larger albums, Evolution and Revelation, are both autographed.  Evolution was found at a store in San Francisco during our honeymoon.  Revelation, Pete got for me from the official Journey web site, for Christmas.  He also got me the Street Talk gold record plaque!

I'm lucky that Pete understands, and tolerates, my silly crush on you.

Well, so there ya go.  Nothing thrilling, but it's just another example of things you could do on a vlog.

I'll stop nagging now.  But I love ya, and I found the most PERFECT birthday card EVER, today at the store, so I'm planning to send it to you soon.  I hope you'll like it.  I will send it to Lora at Fan Asylum.

(Unless of course, you email or call me and provide a different address...and then send a chauffered limousine to pick me up so we can go out and celebrate your birthday in person, together)...wooooo!!

.........ah well.........ya can't blame me for tryin'.  I am a dreamer.

Love, Rebecca

  1. Rebecca,

I hope you don't mind but I do enjoy your conversations with Steve, especially your vlogs. Sassy looks like a beautiful dog! I have two cats myself and they are the best company! They are always attentive to moods and know when their Mom needs some extra attention.

Your blogs are always interesting and sometimes break my heart. Your compassion for those who had to endure Hitler's Holocaust was truly touching. So many people still today don't understand the horror and inhumanity that was allowed to go on for so long. And, of course, there are the ignorant jerks who claim it never happened. I'm glad you shared your part in making people aware. And I thank you for that. As said by many, if we don't learn by history we are doomed to repeat it.

Hope you have a Great Weekend!

    1. Hi Wendy, thank you for the comments you have left here on my blog. I confess, I didn't realize that people COULD leave comments, I don't use that option very much, and they changed all the technical stuff on blogger, so I don't always see them. I'm actually quite AFRAID of people commenting, because I'm rather...ODD...and, well, uber-sensitive too. But thank you for liking my Journeyopoly idea, AND the Journey Scene-It game idea too! That would be awesome. I remember Journey parties in the 80's, where people gathered to watch videos, hob nob with other fan club members, and all that fun stuff. I never got to to go to one, but I loved the idea. Thanks for reading, this whole idea started out as just something for ME, as a "journal" of sorts, as though I was talking with someone I've always loved HEARING. I don't expect that he reads it, though. Maybe that's a good thing!! I think I'm a bit much for some people, especially with the kinky side of who I am. But, I only write the truth, (as I see it), and I have nothing to hide. So, feel free to write anytime and take care. Thanks again. --Rebecca
