Sooooooo....how ya doin'?

How are you?  I can't seem to find the Ebay auction final tally for the autographed albums and personal note that you are giving away.  Last time I looked, it was $3,360 or something like that.  Or maybe it was $3,600...I can't remember....but either way, I am sure it went up after that.  I hope it did, anyway, because it's for a great cause.  Ah well, you did it again, and for that I applaud you....you're a good egg, Sir.

Well, I now have the burning creativity biting my ass again...sometimes it wanes, but now it's back with a ferociousness.  I am going to re-decorate our master bedroom.  I am sick of it the way it is.  So, I've been brainstorming, ordering stuff online, and planning.  My overall design is this....*(probably NOT very original, but it will look good anyway)*...

Light blue walls all around, and on the slanted ceiling sides, they will be painted white, with stenciled damask-shaped (painted with black and light blue), scattered on the white walls here and there.  I have already bought new damask (black with white design) bedding, some accessories, and 2 small lamps with damask lampshades.  Now I have to find some damask area rugs, and make a fabric headboard.  I might even paint my Ikea dressers...I've had them forever, and they were inexpensive, so what the hell.

I'm thinkin' white painted furniture, a nice DIY fabric headboard, damask curtains, and TAH DAH, it'll look pretty cool when it's done.  I have never made myself a headboard before, so I've been scouring the internet for "how to" information...it looks pretty simple really.  So, that'll be on the agenda starting this week when the new NURSE finally comes in to hang out with Florence for a few hours M-W-F. YAY! I will have TIME AWAY from this caregiver stuff, and the stress that goes with it, FINALLY.

So NOW I can focus my energy on finishing this upstairs area.  It's still a mess, not organized, and not decorated at all.  The most I've done up here is rearrange furniture, paint the bathroom, and put adhesive wall art around the slanted ceilings.  BLEAH.  Time to get this place up and running, and looking nice.

Anyway, I'll be sure to take some "before, during, after" photos....just in case you want to hire me as your designer someday....hehehehe....well, ya never know, I am enrolled in Sheffield School of Interior Design you know, and I'm going to start that course this week too.  So, it could happen.  Nevah say nevah my friend.

Yeah tomorrow will be a busy one...Pete's got an electrician coming to the house at 8:30 a.m., then the nurse's supervisor will show up at 10 a.m. to go over what I want or need her to do for me while she's here with Florence, and then the actual nurse will show up at 11:15 and stay until 2:15.  Three hours may not SEEM like a long enough time away, but believe me, compared to the 30 minutes to 1 hour stints that I have been used to, it's going to seem like a LONG time to me.

I hope you've had a nice weekend.  Ours has been pretty uneventful for the most part, we didn't go anywhere other than Sam's Club and our favorite Indian restaurant for lunch...love that place...I really love Indian food, especially Tandoori chicken. MMMMM. I also had these vegetables in an almond yellowish sauce, and it was AWESOME.  But, those big, round honey-balls for dessert are just way too sweet for me, though, I'm not used to that sugary stuff anymore.  I do like the rice pudding however.

Well, I guess I'd better scoot and get some house cleaning done so the nurse doesn't think I'm a slob.  I made a killer batch of chili last night, it turned out really great, so I'm hearing a bowl of it calling me now, too.  Time to be puttin' on the feed bag!! (A farm-girl saying from Michigan).
