Ya know Stephen,
I just learned from a former coworker of mine that, if I were still working at the Museum in DC, I would have been able to meet Ben Kingsley last night. DAMMIT!! I would LOVE to meet him. He was there touring the Museum and having a reception afterwards. My coworkers were even invited to join in, which is RARE. But goodness knows, I might have tried to shake his HAND for cripes' sake, so it's probably a good thing I wasn't there.
(Side note: I got into trouble once for shaking hands with Steven Spielberg). So it's a standing joke. But the funniest part of that was, having been friends with Miep Gies and Cor Suijk, they thought the whole thing was ridiculous and hilarious, so Cor had someone take our picture while shaking hands! I made sure I showed everyone at the Museum that picture. (I told ya, honey, I am a rabble rousing whipper-snapper). Gee, I wonder why they won't rehire me?! hehehe I'm a bad ass, and a pain in the ass sometimes too.
Diablerie. That should have been my middle name. Seriously. Rebecca Diablerie. Has a nice ring to it, dunnit?! hehehehe Yep, that's the word of the day. You could write a whole song around it!! Heyyyy, maybe THAT'S how you song writers can combat illiteracy and ignorance in public schools, by incorporating a vocabulary word into the song that people will not know the meaning of, and will then have to look up the definition! "Ohhhh Valerie, you are such a silly Diablerie...lalalalala...." You could even have the fan club come up with a contest to see who can write a song around that particular word! Why not use your powers for good, instead of evil?! hehehe
Ah well, what do I know about song writing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. I mean, I've never tried, but if I were to write a song, I think it would be about the state of our world and what we all need to do to make it better. How to make THAT into something ENJOYABLE with an American Bandstand "good beat to dance to, Dick," I have no clue. That's YOUR job.
Oops, gotta go......I'll be back later.
Love, Rebecca
