The move is MOSTLY over...

HiStevie my love,

I am sore all over and we're STILL not quite done with the old house yet. Three weekends in a row of moving is absolutely awful. I do not recommend it.

I'm sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's office, to get my A1C checked. (diabetes)  I don't know WHY I scheduled this for 8 a.m. On a Monday morning...what a boneheaded move THAT was. Now that we live across town, rush hour is a bit of a snag first thing on a Monday morning.

Yesterday we took the 2 mom's to a local flower nursery to pick out some hanging baskets and other items like hydrangeas, (my favorite). Florence had a bipolar anger fit the other day, treated my mom really mean, and now my mom has been upset the past few days because of it. I got her bedroom set up in the basement now, and she's being a hermit. Sigh.

Get this, Florence's daughter and son-in-law sent Pete an email asking why nobody was answering the house phone when they tried to call--do they NOT get what MOVING means?!  So Pete told them to call on MY cell phone to talk to Florence. This could very well be her last Mothers Day, ya know. But they replied, "she can't hear us on the cell phone. We got her a landline telephone which is much better, so we'll skip it until you get that hooked up."  (Nothing like a slam on the iPhone to put Pete in a great mood).

I said, "I have HAD IT with this messed up family of yours. They are just going to SKIP calling  her on what could be her very  last Mothers Day? Because THEIR phone is BETTER than mine?! WTF?! They are no longer welcome to call my cell phone. If they call, it'll go straight to voicemail.  I am ALL done with these selfish pricks."

She might have Alzheimers and bipolar, but Florence noticed that nobody bothered to call her all day long. She got a few cards, and a couple of gifts, but no calls. I find that to be shameful on their part.

IF she makes it to her 90th birthday party in August, and IF they don't bother to attend, she'll definitely notice that, too.  And if that happens, I will declare WAR.

Nobody treats an elderly parent like crap in MY family, or they'll be dealing with my foot securely planted in their asses.

Anyway, I am ready to get the hell away---soon we will be going off to camp! Yay!  The theme of our Mardi Gras parade float is "A Midsummer Night's Wet Dream!" hehehehe there will be a tree in the center, so Pete and I want to whip up some egg whites and fill condoms with a little, to hang them from the tree branches!  And get pink balloons to blow up and paint the knotted airtime brown to look like nipples, and hang them in pairs from the tree branches!! Hehehehe. It'll be hilarious!  I love being creative AND naughty too at the same time!!

I had another dream about Peter last night...it has been over 3 years since we stopped seeing each other, why can't I get him out of my head?!
I guess you can never REALLY stop loving someone. Even just a little bit.

Well, we don't yet have our computers hooked up but I am using my phone--I just didn't want to go another day without writing to you so I wish you a great week, great weather, and a happy outlook.

Love, Rebecca
