I'm on my way to bed, but I found the photo of Peter and I....my ex....the one I mentioned in the previous post. Here we are together....right before I attended the museum's holiday party. He escorted me to the party but didn't stay. This is the only photo I have of the two of us together.
I see this photo, and it jolts me every time. Especially if I haven't thought of him in awhile.
Sometimes I forget I even have it, or where it is.
I think we looked awesome together.
I really loved him.
He really hurt me.
Ah well, I guess sometimes in life you just gotta move on, even if it's very difficult to do. You're going through it with Kellie right now, and I've been through it with Peter too. I think everyone goes through it at some point. One of those universal truths...maybe a rite of passage...who knows.
I'm feeling rather sore, since I spent most of my evening mowing the lawn, and using our leaf blower to clear off our huge driveway of all the weeds I've been picking out of all the garden areas. Bleah. I am pooped. But, since Pete is away in DC this weekend, I decided to get some things done outside. Pete is in DC visiting our friend Judy. He's kinda got a crush on her, but she thinks of him as only a platonic friend, so it's all good. I'm cool with her. We all get along great.
Today my new "BFF" Julie came over to get me, and we took off to the thrift store together. I like her a lot. We had a fun time. Then we had lunch and she took me to an awesome antique shop, and then to her house to show me around and introduce me to her husband and kids.
If this isn't weird, I don't know what is....her husband looks VERY SIMILAR to Peter. And SHE looks very similar to my DC friend Charlene, who recently married Peter. Freaky weirdness. Yes, I took a photo of a black and white photo that she and her husband are in together, and it's uncanny. I'll have to add that one tomorrow.
Anyway, I'm off to bed, but I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Just wanted to post the photo that I mentioned last time. That's the dude I've been lamenting about for a year or three. Sigh.
Well, take care of you, get plenty of sleep, and send me a bouquet of roses sometime. HA!! Just wanted to see if you're paying attention. Okay, just send me ONE rose then, geez. I'm not greedy!
