Hi Steve,
I hope you've had a good week. The weather around here has been insane, but I think it is now starting to begrudgingly turn to spring. Stubborn winter, it never wants to go away.
We spent last week in Virginia Beach and it was cold, but we didn't really care. It was nice to just sit around in our jammies and relax. We never do that. No matter what the weather, the ocean is always beautiful and I love sitting there, just watching it. I never get bored watching the waves, and sometimes I even caught a glimpse of a dolphin's fin.
Anyway, tonight we're going to see Billy Joel in concert at the Consol Energy Stadium here in Pittsburgh. Neither of us have ever seen him in concert, so this should be a pretty cool show. I've always enjoyed his music, I remember listening to Glass Houses when I was a kid, and loving it. Pete scoffs at that, though, because all the stuff that Billy Joel did BEFORE that was "even better." So, once again, I was born in the wrong decade. Pete likes to karaoke some of his songs, too. I am not really a big fan of karaoke though, I can't really get over the stage fright.
So hey, if you're just sitting around wondering what to do on a Friday night, come on over to Pittsburgh, and attend his concert with me. That would be sweet! But, you've probably seen him already many times, so maybe that's just not your idea of a good time, I don't know. That's where I'll be, though, so if you want to sit around and laugh for awhile, come find me. :) It'll be worth the trip.
Well I could sit here and write a whole bunch of stuff, but frankly my right shoulder is killing me, so even just typing is causing it to ache. I have some kind of rotator cuff issue going on, I think. The x-ray came back negative but I haven't had an MRI yet. Damn this "getting old" stuff. Sux the big dog.
(NOTE: In college, I took an astronomy class to learn about the stars….I scheduled it at the end of my day, so when we sat back in a darkened room to look up inside the planetarium, I fell asleep!! Got some good naps in that class…but one of the teacher's favorite sayings was, "That's even better than the big dog," referring to one of the constellations…..so now I say, "Dat's betta den a beeg dawg!" because that's how he talked). I know, I'm a dork, what can I say.
Anywho…..I guess I'll go for now. I hear a nap calling me. I have no car today, it's in the shop. The horn stopped working, (needs a new fuse), and the passenger side mirror got crunched off, so it needs to be replaced. I'm home, stranded, until later when we go see Billy Joel. As always, I will take some photos for you.
Here's a video of me, feeding the seagulls in our time share on Virginia Beach…..

Okay dear Stephen, I'm gonna scoot. Just know that I love ya, and I hope you have a great weekend.
Love, Rebecca
Ever wanted to talk to your favorite famous person, even if he or she is unavailable/unapproachable in real life, or dead and gone, or just not even possible to have a real conversation with? Who doesn't?! Well, so do I. So, I am going to chit-chat with the Main Man, my favorite singer in the entire world, Steve Perry, on this blog, just for the hell of it!! I'm a writer after all, so that's the kind of thing I like doing. Keeps me outta jail. *WINK*
Mmmm sexy...
