I am now 46…and I met Cindy Williams.

Hi Steve,

Sorry it has been awhile since I've been able to sit down and write.  Pete decided to kidnap me and take me away for my birthday, to celebrate the whole WEEK long.   He took me to Bedford PA, to a spa resort that has been there since the mid-1700's.  There are natural springs coming through the mountains, which help with health issues.

The Omni Bedford Springs Hotel is where he took me for 2 days, to have a massage and a pedi-cure, and to swim in the natural spring water Olympic sized indoor pool----the first one ever built in the US.  It was REALLY SWANKY!!  If you ever get a chance to come to the east coast, you should DEFINITELY check it out.

I loved the history of the whole place. There is a huge historical story about the place, and even when it sat empty for 20 years all dilapidated and unused, pillaged and plundered, it was rebuilt and restored in 2007.  I don't know if you like to golf, but there is a huge golf green there too.  You can hike in the woods and see all the natural springs that are still there, sit outside around a bonfire toasting marshmallows, sit quietly in the beautiful library doing a puzzle, or reading, and there are also little shops all along the main hall of the newest part of the hotel.  This place is SPRAWLING HUGE, and it ain't cheap, trust me on that. They even have restaurants inside, and a tour of the place every day.

Anyway, it was very nice, and we had a great relaxing time. Here is a photo of the awesome pool...

Then we drove back to the 'burgh and attended another comic book and toy convention.  I got to meet Cindy Williams…..

But first…..here's a funny couple of photos that Pete and I concocted, just for shits and giggles!!

And now, for the funny…..

Yes, that is the official Sta-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters.  I decided to go take a bite.

Mmmmmm TASTY!!!!!  Heyyyyyyyy…..I wonder if……does he taste as good ELSEWHERE?!

LET'S FIND OUT!!!!!  WOOOOOO!!!

YESSSSS!!!!   YES INDEED, IT TASTES JUST AS GREAT THERE TOOOOOOOO!!!!!  WHODATHUNK it?!!! hehehe

You know it had to be done.  Right?!  I mean, COME ON STEPHEN!!  It was just BEGGING to be done by SOMEBODY.  What can I say?!  We just brought a can of whipped cream, dude.  And yes, we zoomed in the door when it first opened, ran over to it, and took the photos BEFORE any children or families were let in.  No need to traumatize anybody!! The surrounding vendors, however, thought it was friggin' HILARIOUS!!!  We are sick & twisted, but that's what makes us so gosh-darned LOVABLE!!!!

Ah well…..ok, so here I am with Cindy Williams….(always watched Laverne & Shirley)!!  I told her that, in high school, I was a prude like Shirley and my best friend was Laverne, always the wild one, while I was the designated driver and the goody-goody.  But, I added, 25 years AFTER high school, suddenly SHE is the goody-goody housewife type, and I'm the wild one!!!  She smiled and said, "Funny how life changes people!"  Yes, yes indeed.

She was very nice, and looks exactly the same as she did on the show.  At least, I think she does.  In August, Penny Marshall will be at the next comic-con too, so I'm going to have HER sign the same photo that Cindy signed, with the both of them on it.  Kinda cool, huh?!

Behind her, is Brett Spiner, who played "Data" on Star Trek Deep Space Nine.  He was hilarious!  I told him he has beautiful blue eyes.  He said "thank you, that's very nice of you to say," and I said, "Those freaky weird eyeballs you had on the show freaked me the hell out."  He laughed and said, "YOU?! I had to wear the damned things! How freaked do you think I was?!"

AND, we also got to meet Jonathan Frakes, who played Riker.  (Plus, last year we met "Counselor Troy" and I gave her a mini-hat which she loved).  That's Pete's thing, the Star Trek stuff.  He's all about Babylon 5, Star Trek, and all that Sci-Fi stuff, much more than I am.

My t-shirt says, (in case you can't read it)…."You don't need to look at my chest. These aren't the breasts you're looking for. Move along."  Apparently that is a spoof quote from Star Wars, where they use the word "Droids" instead of "breasts."  I didn't know that when I bought it!!!  So, I'm not THAT geeky.  Just a smidge.

So anyway, it has been a whirlwind week-----that is Pete's M.O.  Today has been a rather sad one for Pete's son, Nathan.  He just had a confirmatory test and has been officially diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  Can you imagine being in your mid-20's and finding out that you will probably be in a wheelchair before you're 40????  That is so harsh.  That poor kid just breaks my heart.  I feel so bad for him.  He's been through some massive bullshit these past couple of years.  But, he's handling it pretty well so far.  But damn, it just sucks.

Anyway, so that was MY week.  Hope you had a great week too.  What did YOU do?!

By the way, in Hanford California RIGHT NOW, there are two CRAZY Steve Perry fans roaming about, to see your high school, your stomping grounds….they had ice cream at a dairy shop there, and took photos of the Raised on Radio towers….they are STALKING YOU MAN!!!  (I hope you're in Hawaii)!!! hehehehehe  They are really sweet, actually.  Kim and Kathryn, they love ya.  They were in Hollywood taking their photos with the Journey star on the sidewalk too and going through Madame Taussad's wax museum.

Well, if you see them, MAKE THEIR DAY and give them both a big HUG.

Love you lots Stephen.  Bye for now.

Love, Rebecca
