Hiya Steve,
Yeah, I'm a sucker for Elvis, even now. I just adored him when I was a kid. Whenever I hear his voice on the radio, I have to listen to the whole song, even now. In fact, I had this very same magazine right after he died, and I plastered my bedroom walls with every poster in it. I cried for 8 months, every night when he died, because I would listen to "What Now My Love," and it has lyrics that are, "No one would care, no one would cry, if I should live, or die..." and it just killed me every time I heard it. My mom was starting to worry about me. I am the same age as his daughter, Lisa Marie. I think this magazine cost me $1.50 back then, but Pete found it for me recently and it was $15.00. Sheesh. I'll never take the pages out of this one though. I love it too much.
(By the way, don't feel left out my friend, I also have magazines with YOU on the cover, that are in plastic wrappers like this one). I've got DOZENS of them. Maybe I should go take photos of those and put them on here too, you might get a chuckle or two.
I am also a sucker for "What your Birthday says about your love life" on Facebook...here's what my birthday (April 9) says about mine....
--------------------------------------------------
You'll have 5 true loves.
For you, love is a feeling that lingers for a really long time, even after a relationship is totally over. In fact, you still may have strong feelings for the first person you fell in love with. You usually are reluctant to end relationships. And sometimes you're the last to know that things are ending!
Number of times you'll have your heart broken: 4
You are most compatible with people born on the 9th, 18th, and 27th of the month.

Holy CRAP!! FIVE TRUE LOVES?!! Damn, that's better than I would have ever guessed...most people are lucky if they find ONE. Lemme see....Anne Frank, Steve Perry, (you expected maybe Elvis)?, my grandpa, Peter, and now Pete. Hey, I guess they are right!! And yes, the rest of it is very accurate. Hmm, and I'll have my heart broken 4 times----let's think about that one----Anne Frank's death broke my heart, your consistent IGNORING of ME breaks my heart, (HA! just teasing), my grandpa died when I was 12 and broke my heart, and Peter dumped me hard, and broke my heart. So I guess that part is pretty accurate too. Four times sucks, but I guess that's not so bad in a whole lifetime. Some people have it broken a lot more than that. So, it is interesting to think about.
Ah well, over the years I have learned that life has a way of working itself out somehow, over time. About a year after he died, I took the Elvis posters down off my wall and replaced them with John Lennon and the Beatles posters. Then John Lennon was shot and killed in 1980, and I cried for him too. After that, several months passed, and eventually, YOU and Journey became the next wall collage in my life. From that age onward, I think I was about 12 or so, you have been stuck with me as a fan. I even took some of those posters to college with me to decorate my dorm room. I had a loft bed, so I just surrounded myself with your face up there, and it was very comforting. (That, and I didn't get razzed so much from my peers about it, some of whom thought Journey was a lame-ass-white-bread band). LITTLE DID THEY KNOW that Journey would outlast most of the 90's bands that THEY loved. HA!!!
Pete stayed home today, he's not feeling very well. I'm just being lazy today. Gotta keep taking down the Christmas decorations and putting them away. Soon it will be YOUR birthday. I gotta think of something unique and awesome to do for you. I'm workin' on it. You will be thrilled, I'm sure.
Love you lots....have a great day today, Stephen. You are blessed, and loved by many.
Love, Rebecca
Ever wanted to talk to your favorite famous person, even if he or she is unavailable/unapproachable in real life, or dead and gone, or just not even possible to have a real conversation with? Who doesn't?! Well, so do I. So, I am going to chit-chat with the Main Man, my favorite singer in the entire world, Steve Perry, on this blog, just for the hell of it!! I'm a writer after all, so that's the kind of thing I like doing. Keeps me outta jail. *WINK*
Mmmm sexy...

The man is a gorgeous sexy BEAST!! I just want to eat him up!!
